I remember having my first individual experience on the internet when I was about 10 years old. Prior to this life-changing moment, I watched my dad access an entire world just from his computer. How did he do it?! I studied him like a Naplan assessment until, finally, I figured it out. One day, when he wasn’t home, I secretly logged on to his computer, dialled up the internet and began my obsession with Stardoll, Barbie and Bratz makeover games. Heaven!

Then I progressed on to online games where you could dress up your avatar and talk to people online! Thank you IMVU and Habbo Hotel for all you gave me. As I grew older, MSN, Bebo, Myspace, YouTube and Facebook took over.

Now, I mostly reside in TikTok and Instagram land. I love the internet for all the knowledge, but mostly for the silly humour. Here are 10 things, old and new, that never fail to make me giggle.

1. Beyoncé interview – Tottenham v Arsenal

As a huge Beyoncé fan, I’ve watched a tonne of her interviews and this one never fails to make me laugh. I love this clip of her not fully understanding the British accent. I’ve been there, you’ve been there, we’ve all been there.

2. Gangster baby

The way this baby quickly flips from newborn to gangster cracks me up every time. Why are babies who have that “I’ve been here before” energy so funny?

3. That one friend who makes their own remix to every song

Everyone has one of these friends. You know, the one who always has to add a little spice to a track that’s already loved by many. It’s me. I’m the friend.

4. Girl farts and blames it on ghost

The quick thinking and commitment here is phenomenal. Done something and don’t know who to blame? Blame a ghost. Who can question that?

5. Created for wealth tweet

I love African parents. For those in the room who aren’t with it, being called an animal in Nigeria is incredibly insulting. So I love how Aunty freely creates her own acronym after understanding that being called a GOAT is actually a compliment. God bless Nigerian parents.

6. Patti LaBelle – Where my background singers?

I watch this many times a year simply because Patti LaBelle is a living legend. With each watch, a new question arises. Who were the organisers of this event? Who cued her to come on early? Where the heck were her background singers? Regardless, she still slayed this performance. Queen!

7. Grandma Beyoncé Pure/Honey choreography

A niche giggle for Beyoncé stans. If you haven’t seen the original, please watch Beyoncé performing Pure/Honey on the Renaissance world tour, then watch this legendary woman slay.

8. Gym fail

This made me cackle the first time I watched it mainly because I’ve been here so many times before. In my early gym days, I was too afraid to ask for help so I’d end up looking like the person in this video.

9. Grandma prank

Silly humour like this always makes me laugh. The terrible disguise. The guy running away looking confused as hell. The dance with the cane at the end. The backflip! I can’t.

10. Although enjoyment

The commitment here to singing her own melody to a very well-known Billie Eilish song is hilarious yet also incredibly impressive?
