This study of how a couple in South Korea cope with disability is inspiring and saddening in equal measure, writes Catherine Shoard

Nature fan fans beware: this is no microcosmos of the mollusc. Rather, it's the intensely moving and inherently taxing study of how a couple in South Korea cope with disability. Young-Chan is deaf blind, and uses finger-tapping to communicate, while his wife, Soon-ho has a debilitating spinal problem that has impaired her growth. Neither the subject nor director ask for sympathy; what emerges is a nuanced hymn to the human spirit that still saddens, even when it inspires.
