Wednesday marks the 10th anniversary of Mean Girls, Tina Fey’s teen movie classic about a young girl’s struggle to find acceptance at a new high school. The comedy, which stars a pre-catastrophe Lindsay Lohan as the wide-eyed Cady Heron and Rachel McAdams as the manipulative queen bee Regina George, became a cult hit after its release.
As any true devotee of the film knows, on Wednesdays, we wear pink. (For the uninitiated, this is just one of the many sartorial laws that govern the Plastics, Regina's clique. See also: only wearing sweatpants and jeans on Fridays.)
To celebrate the anniversary — and its collision with Hump Day — mean girls (and boys) around the world have been posting pictures on social media, showing themselves decked out in pink. Even organizations like Planned Parenthood are participating.
Here are some of the best examples so far. So fetch.
